We enjoyed a half day walk with our hosts, Anne-Marie and Walter through the forest near their house. There was still quite an amount of snow on the ground but it did not create much of a problem for us.

Beaver dam

We had forest and mountain views near Porter Creek, observed beaver dams and evidence of their incredible building projects and saw the Yukon Quest dog sled route which covers 1,000 miles to Fairbanks Alaska.
