It was warm already when we headed off, so thankfully this was only a short walk! The walk follows Greenant Creek, a sacred aboriginal site with no swimming allowed below the falls. We walked through lush monsoon forest and then climbed through rocky barren stone country to reach Tjaetaba Falls. The viewpoint for the falls was unfortunately obscured by trees.

After debating whether is was permissible to swim in the plunge pool at the top of the falls, we spoke to a local and  I decided to do it. Of course it was fantastic with cool clear water there to be enjoyed. This pool is less crowded than the popular Buley Rockhole due to the short walk required to access it but it was well worth the effort.

A great spot for a dip
