Participants: Stephen Davies (Photos, Report), Sue Davies
Another exploratory day trip skiing, in low visibility, windy conditions, looking for sheltered slopes to leave some turns on. A short return trip from Charlotte Pass.
Max elevation: 2078 m
Total climbing: 1296 m
Total descent: -1308 m
Average speed: 5.10 km/h
Total time: 06:34:52
Yet another cloudy breezy day, another day not to venture too far. We headed off to Wrights Creek where we spent the day telemarking three different slopes on its western side and source.
We had fleeting company as some of our companions joined in for a run or two before heading off elsewhere.
We made use of the Bothy bag for lunch, despite itself lack of space it provides really good protection against the wind, a significantly warmer option than sitting out exposed to the weather.
Sue and I completed the last of our runs down the upper end of the creek before returning to the comfort of the lodge.
