After leaving the very small carpark at the mouth of All Airdeassaidh and scrambling over a fence, the four of us were off up the hill through farmland. We followed rough track up alongside the river, crossing a couple of boggy sections but scrambling up alongside the water as close as we could, sections of which were on rock.
We were surprised at just how beautiful such a short section river could be. A series of narrow gorges, cascades and waterfalls had us taking our time and enjoying the views from a number of vantage points. As we needed to return to Edinburgh today we couldn’t linger so off we headed, never-the-lessless it was bonny stroll thoughly enjoyed.
On the return to Edinburgh we took had a stop at Rogie Falls Salmon Stream for another, this time, even shorter stroll.
