As a warm up for the multi-day hikes to come we decided to revisit part of the Kepler track for the afternoon to walk from The Outlet to Brod Bay and back.

Te Anau across Lake Te Anau from The Outlet
We noticed almost immediately how dry the moss and vegetation was compared with our previous visit, it was very obvious that it hadn’t rained here much in some time. It was however a pleasant, warm afternoon for our purpose.
Sue in Brod Bay, Lake Te Anau
We made quick time around the shores of Lake Te Anau and Sue enjoyed a glorious swim at Brod Bay beach before we retraced our steps back to the control gates near Te Anau.
