Located on the north-east corner of Booderee National Park this walk takes in the awesome Murrays Beach. Around the circuit you pass through scenic bushland, one this occasion recovering from a recent bushfire, several great vantage points which provide fleeting glimpses of the coastal cliffs and Governor Lookout with views of Bowen Island and Jervis Bay.

From our base at Greenpatch Campground we drove the short distance to Murrays Beach car park. From here it is only a 300m walk to picturesque Murrays Beach where we had a quick look before starting the circuit.

Taking the inland path on the way out we enjoyed the tall eucalyptus forest and tea tree scrub including a tree that had been stuck by lightning. It was a warm sunny day but a slight breeze kept the conditions comfortable.

The way back revealed excellent coastal views of sandstone cliffs and to our surprise a submarine on its way into Jervis Bay! The cliffs of Point Perpendicular were revealed as well as the nearby Bowen Island.

We enjoyed a refreshing swim in the turquoise waters of Murrays Beach as a reward at the end. This is an excellent half day walk.
